Sincerest Apologies, New Track Soon, Free Cake

Firstly, the cake was a lie. I'm sorry guys and girls! :(

Secondly, and more seriously, I sincerely apologise for my absence for what seems like forever. Anyone who is a college student at this time may know where I'm going to go with this.

College is getting busier and busier every day. I am nearing the end of my first year, and it is that stressful time where everything is being handed in, everything is being marked, and everything is being handed back to you if there are some corrections that could be made, so then that cycle repeats over and over again until finally that piece of work is at a standard good enough to be marked. It is a very stressful time indeed, and I have been focusing on that. So much, in fact, that I have hardly had time to focus on my music.

However, next week (23rd of June - 27th of June) will (hopefully) be my last week at college, and once that is over with, I will be able to focus a lot more on getting music done for you guys. I am currently in the process of a new track, however with college stopping me and hindering my process, that won't be out for a while, until I know for sure that I have finished my first year of college, and I am sure that I can focus more on music. I am still working on the third track, don't worry. It's just going to have a slow development speed while I'm still at college for this last week.

Again, my sincerest apologies for those of you who are impatient. I don't blame you. I would start to become impatient myself. Just remember that the third track will be amazing, so don't you worry about that.

I will be focusing a lot more on communicating with you guys again, so expect me to be using Twitter a lot more again. Also, expect more blogs again (finally!) once college is finished. I can't wait to be able to focus on my music again!

I hope I can be forgiven for this absence, and I will make it up to you with the next track.

As mentioned in the last blog post (if you can remember that far back...), my third track may be available for purchase, if any of you guys and girls want to support me and my music. More information will come as I know more about future plans.

For now though, thanks for reading. Check me out at other places! A new subscriber on YouTube or a new follower on Twitter and SoundCloud would be greatly appreciated.

Have a great day!

A Couple Of Things To Talk About In This One :)

I have a few things I want to point out in this blog. Because of this, I'm going to separate this blog into sections, each with their own individual title. How's that for formality? :P

Firstly, there will be the 'Thank You' section, where I have a few things to say thanks to you guys about. After, there's the 'Wow, I can't believe that happened, it totally came out of nowhere!' section (yes, I'm gonna use that title), where something pretty cool has happened, and I want to share it with you guys. Lastly, there's the last section, which you'll have to wait and find out what it's called later in this post, because I'm evil like that. ;)

Thank You

I just want to say thank you to all of you who have checked out my stuff so far. There have been slight delays in getting my third track ready, so thanks to those of you who are sticking with me. Quite recently, there was a period of time where my twitter followers dropped by just a couple of followers. However, in the past few days, that number has shot back up again quicker than I'd ever expect. If you are new here, thanks for checking me out, and I hope you stick with me and follow me on my journey towards being able to share my music with everyone. :)

That's what this is about. I don't want to do it for fame, I'm doing it because I love it. Yes, at the moment, there are things that are halting my progress, but I'm trying to work around this, and some of you understand this, which is great. Thank you.

Wow, I can't believe that happened, it totally came out of nowhere!
(Told you I'd use that title ;) )

If you have read a previous blog and/or follow my twitter, you would know that my tracks have been listened to by a member of BBC Radio West Midlands. It was amazing when I found that out, I couldn't believe it. Even if they won't play it on their BBC Introducing show, at least more people have listened to it.

What I totally didn't expect to happen is that, a couple of days ago, a second BBC Radio West Midlands staff member would listen to my tracks too! I saw the email, and I was so happy, it was unbelievable. Maybe, just maybe, this may be a sign that my track may get played soon. I'm being optimistic, I know. I don't mind if my tracks aren't played. I'm happy enough that someone else from that radio has listened to them. It makes me really happy. :D

My Next Track May Be Available To Purchase

If any of you like my music enough to want to buy it, my third track may be available to purchase on a website called Bandcamp once it's finished. I don't know how much it will cost, but it will not be much at all, trust me. I hope that this gets positive feedback. I will give you all more details when the time comes.

That's it for today. I will start doing these more when I get the week off college that is coming up. I want to connect with you guys more, so that is what will happen.

If you haven't already, check out my social media places! A new subscriber on YouTube or a new follower on Twitter would be amazing. It's simple, quick and free to do, so make sure you do that if you want to stay up to date! Also, you can become a follower on SoundCloud! I may do exclusive stuff there, so make sure to keep an eye out there too! Links are below. Lastly, check out my latest track on YouTube if you haven't already. It's called File Corrupt, and if you liked my first track, I'm pretty sure you will like this one!

Have a great day guys!

It's Been A While.. (New Track Though!! :D)

Head to bbc.co.uk/introducing, upload your music and you could have your tracks broadcast on BBC Radio
Guess what those badges mean then. While you think, let me just say something.

It's been a while since I last posted on this blog, and for that, I apologise. Work has caught up on me, things have happened, stuff like that. But now I'm all yours again! :D

Now that that's said, wanna know what those badges above mean?

They mean that I have uploaded my tracks to BBC Introducing!

BBC Introducing is a radio show that is broadcast on a few select BBC radio stations, such as BBC Radio 1Xtra. It is a daytime show which focuses on unsigned, new and upcoming artists that want to get themselves known. Once tracks have been uploaded to this, members of these shows will listen to tracks that have been uploaded, and it will go to a select group of people in the company to then select who gets played on the radio.

Only downside is that the longest time it can take for your track to even be listened to is as long as 6 months...

But that's the worst case scenario. It hopefully won't take THAT long. I accept that it will take a long while for my tracks to be listened to anyway, so I don't mind.

Basically, I'm trying to get myself more known in the music industry. It's going to take a while, I know this, but with the help of those that enjoy my music, I can hopefully get well known for my music! So please, if you are a fan of my music, make sure to share it with people you know! It will help me out greatly! :)

I'm currently working on a third track for you guys, and I am enjoying it. It's going to be slightly different to the first two, however I think you guys may like it.

With my current music, I have had great feedback from people who have listened to it so far via face to face, so thank you to those who have given me your opinions and feedback (you know who you guys are). I greatly appreciate it.

That's it for now though guys. Wish me luck with getting my tracks on BBC Radio! If you haven't already, check out my recently released second track, File Corrupt! Links are below. Thanks for reading, and I will get back to this and Twitter regularly again, honest! :)

I'm Actually Surprised

First of all, let me apologise for how late this blog post is. I was meant to do another post last night shortly after the Quick Update, but I lost track of time. Sorry about that.

Anyway...

With my first track released on YouTube with hardly no followers on Twitter, a few pageviewers on this blog, and no previous subscribers, I'm surprised at the 25 views it has. I didn't expect it to be viewed that much, to be honest. I thought I would only get about 3 views. I've even received two likes so far, as well as two subscribers. That's pretty amazing for my first song with not much advertising for it at all. I'm actually surprised, but in a good way. Thank you guys so much for the views, and I hope that you will enjoy my second track when it comes out. That's not for a little while yet, but I know you guys will enjoy it when it comes out. ;)

I've been trying to listen to other music tracks for inspiration while I've been working on mine. There's a certain Youtuber who is a rapper, and his music is excellent. His channel is called Iniquity Rhymes, if you want to go and check him out. He has a meaning behind the songs he does, and they are just amazing. The beats behind some of them too are just amazing. One song of his I particularly like is a song called 'Up In Flames'. It was a song he released to celebrate 50,000 subscribers on his channel. He currently has 85,565 by the time I write this post, but personally, I think he should have more. If you guys haven't checked him out yet, make sure you do. It will be worth your time.

Thanks for reading. Remember, if you liked my first track, please feel free to share it with others, it would be greatly appreciated! If you haven't checked out Bass Ambush yet, links are below. For now though, have a great day everyone!

Exciting News + Extra Information

From the title of this post, you are probably expecting to read something exciting. Well, I hope you aren't dissapointed;

My first official track is going to be released very soon!! :D

I finished it earlier today, and I'm very proud of it. It's pretty good considering my lack of experience compared to other music producers. The track, known as 'Bass Ambush', will be released very soon, hopefully by the end of this week!

"But L:A:B, where will I be able to find this track?"

Good question, readers.

I also have some social media profiles/links set up! The links to these sites and sources will be at the bottom of this post, and will be at the bottom of every future post, just in case you want to access them at the end of a post. You're welcome. ;)

The links at the bottom will be links to my Twitter, YouTube and SoundCloud pages. These look empty at the moment, and by that, I mean that there will be a lack of content, images, posts, etc. As time goes on, these will start to fill up with content, so keep an eye on these pages!

Now, for a bit of a casual talk. :)

Something that I don't think I mentioned in my introductory post is that I am a massive gamer. I also love watching gaming channels on YouTube. As I'm typing this on one side of my screen, I'm also watching NerdCubed's Father and Son-Days - Towerfall Ascension on the other side of my screen at the same time (thank you, Microsoft, for window multitasking!). NerdCubed is easily one of my favourite YouTubers out there, along with Markiplier and Pewdiepie. I know that a lot of Pewdiepie's fans are weird people who won't stop talking about him. I'm not one of those people, so don't worry. I'm just a casual bro who likes watching his videos. I have played many Xbox 360 games, and own quite a few, but lately I have turned to PC gaming. It just seems more fun sometimes on PC, and I don't know why...

Back to YouTube though, NerdCubed is one of the best gaming YouTubers around. I really like him because of his personality and silly humour. He can also be very smart though, and that's probably why I like watching his videos.

Well, that's it for today. If you've read through all of this, let me know two things as a comment below;

1: Are you excited for my first official track, Bass Ambush?
and
2: Who is your favourite YouTuber and why?

Thanks for reading, I look forward to your opinions. Also, as promised, here are the social media links to stay updated with any upcoming news;

Yeah, I need to find some blog lessons online somewhere...

I have realised, after reading over my first post over again, that my blogging skills may need a bit of work. There were a few things that were all over the place. But hopefully, they will get better.

I have worked some more on my bass-heavy track I mentioned before. Not too much progress has been made, but I have been trying to find what different bass notes go with each other. It's going pretty well overall. There are still a lot more things that need to be added, but approaching the task one small step at a time seems to work just fine.

I'm really enjoying it. Maybe I may not be making crazy amounts of progress, but at least I'm slowly teaching myself new things, so that's a positive point!

Today, I've had a lot of time to think od where my love for music actually came from initially. I remember that it was my oldest brother (of 3 brothers in total) that introduced me to rock music. Yes, I was listening to generic music before that, but that was just random pieces of music that were on the music channels my mother used to have on all of the time. The kinds of bands I was introduced to were bands like Slipknot, Bullet for my Valentine, Trivium, Evanescence, etc. I very soon found out afterwards that this was the type of music that I would love for a while. I listened mainly to this type of music for many years, and even moved myself on to more heavy metal/screamo bands as time went by. Within the past year or so, I have started to also get into music along the likes of Skrillex and Avicii to Rudimental and other artists like that. I like most types of music. I even love Irish/tap dancing like crazy, but that story is for another day (Riverdance FTW!).

I have liked music for a long time; that's something I can obviously tell about myself.I have a feeling that I will be this way for a very long time.

I am aware that this was a short post, but I just wanted to quickly talk about what genre of music I first really got into. Hopefully, better posts will be coming up. Also, they may be of a better quality! Until then, thanks for reading! :D
